Who Was James Jay Lee?
Lee outlined his 11 demands on his website, savetheplanetprotest.com. The 1,100 word manifesto is aimed at Discovery. Lee demanded it change its programming and focus on getting rid of pollutants. To Lee, those pollutants are people.

“All programs on Discovery Health-TLC must stop encouraging the birth of any more parasitic human infants…” Lee wrote, “…programs encouraging human sterilization and infertility must be pushed.”

According to his manifesto, an angry Lee had other targets in mind besides the Discovery Channel. But the cable channel was where he met his end.

Former NASA Administrator Sean O’Keefe has survived the Alaska plane crash that killed former Sen. Ted Stevens, a former space agency spokesman says, according to the Associated Press.

O’Keefe’s teenage son, Kevin, was also among the four survivors. Both have broken bones and other unspecified injuries, said Glenn Mahone, former NASA spokesman, who spoke to the family.
Stevens was among five people who died when their bush plane crashed last night near a remote fishing village in southwestern Alaska, where they were headed for a fishing trip.

O’Keefe headed NASA during the shuttle Columbia disaster in February 2003. He resigned in 2005 to become chancellor of Louisiana State University, then joined European military contractor EADS in 2008.
